Petaluma has a unique and fascinating history as a bustling river town during and after the Gold Rush\, then the “Chicken and Egg Capital of the World\,” and now a town that loves its history. Learn about Petaluma’s incredible architecture (including 8 sites listed on the National Register of Historic Places) and other important and interesting facets of our town’s history. DESCRIPTION:When: Saturday August 27\, 2022  \nMeet At:  Front Steps of the Museum located at 20 Fourth Street\, Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in. \nCost: $20 General\n$15 Museum Members\nTime: Approx. 2 Hours \nJoin the Petalumans of Yesteryear in their sixth annual History Trails Walk through our historic downtown! \nThis is your chance to meet some of Petalumas most colorful\, influential and fascinating characters\, including GP McNear\, Addie Atwater\, Lyman Byce (inventor of the practical Incubator) and other important Petalumans. Along the way\, historic sites will be pointed out\, and each character will delight with their humorous\, sad\, and riveting stories\, which took place right here in our historic town! \nThe walk begins at the Front Door of the Museum located at 20 Fourth Street.  Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in. \nThe walk is moderate in length (approx. 2 hours)\, the pace leisurely.
